Boundaries
April 7, 2010-May 26, 2010 (13 weeks)
Wednesday, 6:30 PM-8:00 PM
SC 203, no charge
When to say YES, How to say NO; to take control of your life.
Living a life out of control? Do people take advantage of
you? or Having trouble saying no? Boundaries define who we are and who we
are not. They impact all areas of our lives: physical, mental, emotional, and
spiritual. Often, Christians focus so much on being loving and unselfish that
they forget their own limits. Here are a few questions we might ask about
setting boundaries:
·
Can I set
limits and still be a loving person?
·
What are
legitimate boundaries?
·
What if
someone is upset or hurt by my boundaries?
·
How do I
answer someone who wants my time, love, energy, or money?
·
Aren't
boundaries selfish?
·
Why do I feel
guilty or afraid when I consider setting boundaries?”
If these pique your curiosity, you might
consider joining us.

Search for Significance
April 7, 2010-May 19, 2010 (8 weeks)
Wednesday, 6:30 PM-8:00 PM,
SC 203, $15 (elevator available).
This book started a quiet revolution and
has become a modern classic and staple among Christian studies. This class
looks at a false world view that says, “My performance + Other’s opinion = My
self worth/value”. God’s Word says quite the opposite.
Come to this class and see for yourself through topics such as:
·
The Origin of
the Search
·
The
Performance Trap
·
The Approval
Addict
·
The Blame Game
and Shame
See what the Bible says about redemption, justification, reconciliation,
propitiation, and regeneration. These words will lead you to see yourself from
God’s perspective, not a world’s perspective. Your life will never be the same
gain!
On-going classes
We
have all or will encounter painful times in our lives when we lose a loved
one.
We are called on to comfort each
other during these times. Some people are good at written words. We need people
who are willing to write notes to those in our family who have lost a loved
one. Remembering them as they go through holidays (mother’s day, father’s day,
Christmas) is a time that a note is also appreciated. Again, the note is a way
to communicate that we remember and care about their loss and grief. If you are
interested in helping us with note writing please contact Brooke Gage at 284-9333.
For meeting times/places or other information, contact Becky Forrest at 918-798-1351.

the ugly (funny but true). Some of the
topics we typically cover are:
- How to strengthen your marriage relationship
- Children and parenting issues

The comment we hear most
often is, “This group is a lifeline to us – we might not have made it without
the support and encouragement of this group.”
The group is open to anyone from the engaged couple to those married for
years. You may enroll by email gcall@arrowheights.org or call
